We are interested in all sorts of vegetarian and vegan topics and tend to specialize in spicy vegetarian food, in particular Oriental food, but I think you will find plenty to interest you here. You can always spice-down recipes that look like being too spicy for your taste! Hope you enjoy taking part in the discussion and/or looking through the message archives or the recipes in the Files section of our site. My reasons for this are The avoidance of killing animals Animal Welfare Personal health and well being World Economy My main reason is Animal Welfare 3. I cook for myself and my husband who also cooks for me 4. My husband isn't vegetarian or vegan although he has recently given up eating meat. 5 a) I am very careful to check for hidden animal ingredients when shopping b) I am very careful to check for hidden animal ingredients when eating out 6 I do not need to make any exceptions for health reasons 7 I have recipes to share and would like access to more recipes. I am not looking for any recipe in particular but I am interested in finding new recipes for spreads 8. I am not too keen on hot and spicy food, although I enjoy food that is mildly spiced 9. I read up on vegetarian topics through the internet, books and magazines 10. I am interested in joining the group to chat to like minded people and share info and recipes 11. About the recipes for spreads: please check our Files area and scroll down until you get to the two-starred folders and look for Dips, Spreads etc. You may find some there that you like. Otherwise, see if there's something under Appetizers (you never know) that would work as a spread. Good luck!
