Again, here is another recipe generously sent on by Robert, copied here in case

members didn't spot it among the questions on his answered Questionnaire/Survey.

Many thanks - it has been filed in the Leafy and Stem Vegetables folder in our

Files.

> 1 c Cauliflower,cut in big pieces,partially cooked,drained

> 2T oil

> red chili powder to taste

> dry mango powder to taste

> 1 onion,sliced,slices cut in half

> Heat griddle over medium-high heat with oil;mix cauliflower with a little

oil,salt and red chili powder-mix well.

> Arrange on griddle and flatten slightly with a spatula,being careful not to

break up the cauliflower pieces.Continue to flatten as cooking,cauliflower will

soften as it cooks.When you get a good caramelization on the bottom,flip the

pieces over,pushing to one side of griddle,continuing to flatten.Add onions to

griddle,keeping onions and cauliflower separate.Watch cauliflower and add more

oil if needed.Do not salt onions until browned and some of the water has cooked

out of them.

> Add dry mango powder and more dry chili powder at plating.

> Serve cauliflower over bed of onions

Okay so where do we get mango powder ?

Excellent question. I've never bought it myself, but I imagine I could get it at

an asian grocery store (if I had one handy). Others might have better

suggestions. Help, someone!

In Indian groceries it's called amchur powder. The dried powder of

unripe mangos, it's used as a souring agent in Indian cuisine.

I find the shipping charge of $7.99 a little too much.

I could not find it in the local stores,so I went to www.wholespice.com

They have some goodies there,pricing is not bad-service,I think is good.
