Guest guest
My husband is new to it but took to it like a duck to water. My son and granddaughter did too. I have been a vegetarian before and am going back to it with no problem. I am developing recipes as well. Annie Cindi <cindi93069 wrote: Hello and welcome to our group. That's great that you and your husband are vegetarians. Is he new to eating veg like you? You'll find many experienced, and new, people in our group, we have quite the array of members! You'll also find great meal ideas in our files section. Feel free to post any low-fat/cal recipes you've tried and loved, we all need inspiration and new ideas! My partner and I have one dog and 2 cats. Guest guest
That is so great to hear! My grandmother is suffering from high cholesterol and arthritis and I keep urging her to try giving up meat or just some meat but she's o stubborn. I will definitely mention your story to her. Thanks. Annie Edmondson <texasannie3000 Wednesday, July 18, 2007 12:26:10 PM Re: questionaire I feel like a 21 year old! I am very active all the time from 4:30 am to night! Numbers are just that-Numbers! It's all how you feel! Going vegetarian has made a big difference, energy wise, skin, hair, everything. We are very cautious about foods and the additives used in them. We have researched them for years. The same with cleaning products and medicine. We don't take any drugs at all. We treat ourselves organically with herbs and teas. We don't have any health problems. No pop, koolaid, junk food, fast food, canned food, etc. Anything processed. This works for us. Annie arisa sandu <larisa2fast4u@ > wrote: Welcome! Guest guest
41 is not a ripe old age. Your decision to go veg. is good and praiseworthy your wish to reduce 50lbs. is a great task by just changing over to veg. food. Take the food casual and eat only garden veg. and the dairy not even poultry for taste also. Good exercise regime with the above will help reduce weight. Learn about water therapy and u will have the best benefits all luck m.s.sastry , Ginger Phillips <gingerdphillips wrote: > > * your name or nickname - I go by GINNY > * where you live (continent, region or city, whatever) - I live near PHILLY > * your age group - teens, 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, > 70s, 80s or more (congratulations!)? - I am the ripe old age of 41 > > Also: > * Are you vegetarian (or vegan), still working at > it, or still thinking about it? There is me and the hub, and our 3 girls (ages 5, 3, and 1). My baby WILL NOT eat meat, dairy or eggs. I got the book because of the interesting title. The book went into a lot of detail about the meat industry. Then, I started looking into it. There are a lot of people who are very passionate about eating meat. When I started talking about it, people seemed to come out of the woodwork in defense of the ranchers. > > Ultimately, my goal is better health and weight loss. Guest guest
1. Did you join this group to help you BECOME vegetarian (or vegan) - or were you ALREADY veggie? (Additional comments would be helpful.) Already a lacto vegetarian, but want to go vegan. 2. Did you join this group to be able to access the recipe Files or is that just a bonus? For recipes and just general info about ways to be vegan. 3. Are you now or were you ever a lurker? If so, why? If not, why not? . I never lurk on any group; that's not very interesting. (Additional comments would be helpful.) Already vegetarian 2. Did you join this group to be able to access the recipe Files or is that just a bonus? Mainly to get spicy veggie recipes. Files are a nice bonus. 3. Are you now or were you ever a lurker? If so, why? If not, why not? . I'm a lurker. Awhile ago, I was active in a conversation with a member, and someone stepped in with a nasty remark. Just easier to lurk and save the recipes I want.
