Hi Pamela and welcome to the group, I'm forwarding your answers to the

questionnaire so that we all know a little about you. All the best with your

transition - there are so many ways of dealing with this that it's up to the

individual, some prefer to go cold turkey (maybe wrong expression in the

circumstances) whereas for others it's a gradual process. First vegetarian then

vegan is a possibility but by no means a golden rule - vegetarian is a bit

easier in the world at large, but I gather from dedicated vegans that they don't

have many problems with shopping, restaurants etc.! But joining this group is a

good way to help with the transition, there's lots of information and gossip

here.

Your dog-cat family sounds delightful, you must have a lot of fun with them!

Plenty of fervent animal lovers here too!

Best, Piers (co-owner with Pat)

THE QUESTIONS (and there are no right or wrong answers here!):

1. Which description best fits your situation?

- I am in transition to vegetarian or vegan

2. What is your main reason for choosing a vegetarian or vegan way of life?

- Concern for the animals

- Concern for the environment and/or world hunger

- Religious, spiritual and/or philosophical concerns

- Personal health, well-being and/or weight loss

3. Is your household totally vegetarian? If not, do you find you need to produce

non-vegetarian meals some of the time? No, I will need to structure meals in

such a way as to produce both options

4. Do you like hot and spicy food? If not, what is your favourite kind of food?

I love spicy food but it doesn't love me anymore. I love Asian and Mexican

foods

5. Is there anything else you would like to tell us (such as your country or

region, age group, household pets/companion animals, hobbies, activities,

interests, indoor and outdoor sports, etc.)? Let's hear it! I'm in the So Cal

area, 50 years old and live with my mom, 2 snotty dogs and 3 psycho cats. And I

wouldn't change them for anything.
