Although it's completely outside the scope of this group to discuss specific medical issues, I think most of the members will agree that vegetarian or vegan diets are more healthy than the average omnivorous diet, it's a pity that some physicians still need to be convinced of this! Which description best fits your situation? -- I am in transition to vegetarian or vegan 2. What is your main reason for choosing a vegetarian or vegan way of life? - Personal health, well-being and/or weight loss 3. Is your household totally vegetarian? not at this moment. we are phasing towards it. I have a son who finds it hard to give up meat, eggs, and dairy. 4. Do you like hot and spicy food? most definitely. We like it hot but only if there is also a lot of flavor--not just firey heat. 5. Is there anything else you would like to tell us (such as your country or region, age group, household pets/companion animals, hobbies, activities, interests, indoor and outdoor sports, etc. Typical midwest family of 4, with a dog. We are very active in church with the youth group, choir, teaching and all the other activities presented. WE want to become either vegan or vegetarian due to health reasons. My daughter has asthma and eczema, my husband and I have the start of arthritis and weight issues. My husband has early stages of diabetes still diet controlled. WE have a friend that is vegan and told us that all his and his wife's symptoms that are very similar to ours went away when they went vegan.
