Guest guest
This is of course the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend, our 'official' Thanksgiving day being this coming Monday - although Canadians tend to celebrate with a dinner on any one of the days of the Thanksgiving weekend. (My dh and I will be celebrating Thanksgiving tomorrow, Sunday.) If you can, let us know what cruelty-free fare you enjoyed or will be enjoying this Thanksgiving. Ideas are always welcome for now and for another time We're breaking away from the traditional autumn vegetable menu we usually have at Thanksgiving. For the main dish, I shall be filling some veggies with varied stuffings as appropriate: stuffed portabella mushrooms, stuffed tomatoes, stuffed bell peppers. For a first course it looks very much like romaine veggie wraps with teriyaki style dipping sauce. I'm also playing with the idea of starting the whole thing with a ginger-carrot dip with homemade dulse crackers and flax crackers to be nibbled while we get around to going to the table (but then how will we find room for the rest? LOL). Dessert? Marinated (heh heh - don't ask!) strawberries with fresh mint and shaved dark vegan chocolate. Wine will be Yellowglen shiraz. And yes, all served in small portions. All best wishes to you and your loved ones, including companion animals and turkey friends. Pat (Co-owner with Piers)
