A Welcome - and some hints :)

Welcome to new members. If there are any of you who haven't yet filled in our

questionnaire or introduced yourselves to the group, please do so when you can.

We all like to get to know each other and these things help.

 

One or two other things -

 

POLLS:

Don't forget the Polls when finding their way around this group's archives and

home page!

 

We don't always have open polls, but we have a couple up right now. They are set

to be anonymous so no one, not even the moderators, can know who voted what or

when Remember too that you can _change_ your vote if you change your mind

right up to the last day. The polls close November 10, so jump in there. Polls

are mostly just for fun and/or interest of other members, so just pick the

response which is closest to how you feel.

 

FILES:

Now _this_ is where we keep our recipes. After being posted to the list a

moderator will copy the recipes to the appropriate file folder. Main and Side

Dishes are categorized mainly according to the predominant ingredient in each

and have three asterisks *** in front of the name of the folder. Others (two

asterisks **) are according to the kind of course (e.g. Appetizers, Snacks,

Salad, Desserts, Soup - you get the idea) or are generic (e.g. Sauces, Gravies,

etc.) Most recipes will say whether they are ovo-lacto, ovo, lacto, or vegan and

will often signal 'spicy' (and most are) to alert lovers of spice to a delicious

dish.

Origin of a dish is given when possible.

Find links to other great sites of interest to vegetarians and vegans here. And

if you have a group you own or moderate, have a website, or have a blog you can

add it in here (or you can ask the moderators to do it for you - send to:
