Guest guest
Aside from being disgusted and horrified (but sadly, not shocked) at the abuse those poor calves were forced to endure, I am beyond furious that NOBODY in our government seems to be looking at factory farms in regards to pandemics like, oh, I don't know, H1N1. As long as we continue to turn a blind eye to the conditions at factory farms, we will continue to see more and more pandemics like this. Actually, no, that's not true. They'll get worse and worse. And our antibiotics will become less and less effective. Cheap meat isn't so cheap. And it infuriates me that that " cheap meat " is polluting MY air, water and food and compromising MY health. Rather than worry so much about vaccines, perhaps our governments should be focusing on the CAUSE of such outbreaks and fixing the source of the problem rather than putting a band-aid on the results. I'm reading " Eating Animals " right now, thus my rant and my apparent propensity for " preaching to the choir. " I think I'm going to go compose a nice letter to my Senators, Congress people and President.......
