Thanks, Patricia - approx. 4 or 5 water to 1 cup cooked oats now rings a bell :)

Do you make this too? It looks as if it would be great for drinking or using on

cereal - and perhaps even for baking? I shall try it.

Best, Pat

No, I've never made it or even tasted it. Let us know how it turns out.

I tried this one (halved the recipe, just in case) - successfully :) My dh

tasted it after it was chilled, thought it was great, and had some on his

portion of porridge this morning. A note: it might be just me, but I don't

recommend it for making hot drinks such as cocoa, carob, whatever. I tried it

that way and it wasn't to my taste, although others may have loved it. Perhaps

I'm just not used to the taste of oat milk lol But it does taste great when

chilled.

I'm glad it worked for you. I saved it in case I need to make some sometime.

As long as there are some rolled oats in the pantry, it's a cinch for those days

when you can't get out to buy commercial non-dairy milk :) And the person who

posted it ('Chas'?) on Recipezaar points out that the cost is mere cents

contrasted with the the supermarket variety.

Now that it's 'tried-and-true' by someone here (me, in this case lol) I've been

able to add it to our recipe Files, giving due credit to its originator and to

you for providing the link. Thanks again.

Still haven't tried out the coleslaw recipe though. We rarely have coleslaw

here, although we do eat a _lot_ of cabbage, kale, bok-choi, Brussels sprouts,

cauliflower, broccoli and all the rest of those cabbage-like things - so tasty

in such a variety of recipe, both cooked and raw, as well as having wonderful

nutritional properties!

Bes,

Pat
