Guest guest
Recipe needed for Hunza Pie: Well, Sunny, you could try asking if anyone here has a recipe for Hunza Pie Not everything we know how to make and what we enjoy is necessarily shared with the group. Sometimes we think that some dishes are just everyday food for our families, not written down, until someone needs to know how to make it You never know your luck. I haven't made this myself (not big on anything requiring pastry for some reason or other, but sounds good), so I had a look and see that swiss chard, rice (brown) and cheese are needed here - and the cheese would also let me out of the picture, I'm afraid :=( If you do try a recipe you find, please let us know - even if you're not perfectly satisfied with the results (just say so). New ideas and new recipes are always appreciated. Good luck with this. For those coming new to Hunza Pie, I find there are various versions and not all are 'healthy' by modern western standards. Otoh, who is to say which version of a recipe is the 'real' one and why it should not be adapted to current ideas of nutrition. I'm working on this, but posting now without digging further Best. Guess I will have to experiment with the ingredients and post a recipe myself. > BTW I should have named my sandwich with the peanut butter, cucumber and sambal oelek. It is called Bali Delite. > Sorry about the fuss with the subject headings. I just got tired of seeing my name for over a week. Made me think I had accidentally started a fire, a vegetarian spicy one, of course.. As a new member I just want to blend in and lurk/contribute for awhile. > > Sunny >
