Guest guest
Just wondering, what do you eat for breakfast? I just finished having an apple and toast with vegemite. Sunny
Guest guest
Thank you for asking this - breakfast is my favourite meal and has been unchanged for a large number of years, with the exception of the grapefruit which was discontinued in November. Not very spicy - the first course is alternating oatflakes and muesli, the second toast with Marmite - a product, I'm told, which is very similar to vegemite but I've never sampled the latter! To drink, a herbal tea, Orthosiphon stamineus (in Indonesian, kumis kucing or Java tea). Piers , Rinchen <chelosunny wrote: > > Just wondering, what do you eat for breakfast? Guest guest
I love oatmeal, but if I start my day out with cereal I will be asleep in an hour. I do have a carb problems so I have to watch it.  Are there any other veggies on the list that cannot eat carbs?  How do you go about eating in the morning with foods that dont put you back into bed?  'Do what thou wilt, but harm none'. Guest guest
I'm wondering the same thing. I usually have a granola bar but I don't think it's staying with me, nor do I think it's helping me with weight loss. What's a good vegan protein breakfast? Guest guest
Always the same thing, because I don't really like breakfast. I have a smoothie made with tofu, soymilk, cocoa powder, ground flax seeds, 5 almonds and a sweetner, usually sugar because I haven't found something else that I can afford. I blend it with 7 ice cubes and really enjoy it. Guest guest
Well, I don't usually have spicy stuff for breakfast - except for occasionally putting some cayenne on toast spread with vegan margarine (no transfats, non-GMO). I enjoy breakfast and keep it varied (and vegan). Here are some of the different things I have: cereal with berries and non-dairy milk granola, especially varieties with nuts bread, bagel or English muffin with jelly, or margarine, or soy cream cheese or hommous with red bell pepper.\ oatmeal, other hot grain cereal, grits, hominy vegan pancakes or waffles (I usually use a whole grain mix and make substitutions for egg and dairy) vegan bacon or sausage substitute tofu scramble mochi cold or reheated left-overs, especially Chinese food or veggie pizza without cheese or with vegan cheeze added Amy's breakfast burritos and tofu scramble pockets =~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~(my signature): From Maida Please sign the petition to allow pets, link at upper left, http://www.petsincondos.org <http://www.petsincondos.org/> While there, to see our PSA logoEW
Guest guest
I cut a package of tofu into 6 pieces and use one of those, 1C soymilk, 2TBLS ground flax seed, 1 heaping TBLS cocoa powder, sweetener to taste, 5 almonds if I have them and 7 ice cubes. I blend everything for a few seconds and then add the ice cubes and blend until smooth. I don't know if this would taste good to anyone else, but I look forward to it every morning. Guest guest
I love seed bread. I'm afraid, though, that I can't afford the calories in bread on a regular basis. My breakfast? Either a piece of fruit or a green smoothie. The smoothie is one my dh usually makes: blueberries, banana, handfuls of baby spinach or sometimes romaine, spoonfulls of spirulina, flax meal, oat bran, a tiny bit of coconut flavouring (the last because once upon a time a long long time ago we made the smoothie with just the fruit plus coconut milk) and enough water to make it of drinkable consistency. A little sweetener? Sometimes. We use stevia, which is from - well, what else - the stevia plant.
