Allinson, was ROLL CALL AND A QUESTION - *PLEASE IN HERE*

Thank you Pat, I read the Wikipedia articles on your recommendation (about

Allinson and his bread). Interesting to note that ABF who now make Allinson

bread was set up by a Canadian, Garfield Weston, who was a big name in UK for a

long time.

 

I wouldn't say it was very expensive, somewhere near the top end of what I would

pay for " normal " bread. That's in Holland where ABF don't operate, I suppose the

bakers buy in the Allinson flour - I've seen it in Portugal too. I haven't had

to buy bread in UK for a while so don't know how it is there, though I remem

seeing the slogan " Bread wi' nowt taken out " (as Wiki mentions, this is

Yorkshire dialect whereas Allinson himself was a Lancastrian).

 

He sounds a great guy. Now to the exercise, fresh air and bathing (which he also

recommends as part of a healthy life).
