Guest guest
Hi Prince. My name is Renee, new to the group also. I'm African American, newly and happily married. Welcome to the group. I decided to join, because my body is letting me know that the average American diet is not doing my body any good. For the last 3 months I have slowly made adjustments to eating less meat to go toward no meat, but fish, vegetables, and fruit. I'm doing better progressing than I thought I would due to so many years eating the American diet. In your culture, what would be a particular breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu? I like trying new recipes, because I become bored of the same old way of preparing food. I like to experiment with recipes from other cultures. I think the last recipe I tried was African Peanut Soup. It was so good. Thanks for sharing. , " ~*\[\[PFL\]\]*~ " <qaidsharif wrote: > > Peace, Love & Light ... Guest guest
nah, its a common misconception that sushi instantly equals raw fish sushi is any ingredient added to vinegared rice (vinegared..thats a word right?) raw fish all by itself is sashimi btw anyways...there are TONS of vegan sushi's available. even before we discovered all vegan sushi places like cha ya, i could go into any place that served sushi and order several if not more dishes. there's kappa maki, which is cucumber roll shitake maki,..you can guess...shitake mushroom. inari..which is deep fried tofu surrounding rice and on and on...avocado, burdock, asparagus, gourd... there's natto (fermented soybeans) (which i really don't like, but, wotever) give me a bit, and i'll go downstairs and dig up some "vegan" sushi recipes from the books...but, in general, all you need is sushi rice (japanese white short grained sweet rice, with vinegar added), nori (seaweed), and whatever veggie or ingredient you want to add. someone made us fruit sushi once, which was pretty darn good. cheers fraggle CKG Jan 6, 2009 10:30 AM RE: New Member Greetings from the ignorant and confused (ME): Sushi??
