Those who are interested or simply curious may want to give this a shot. Why

Let us know if you decide to follow it, okay???

It shouldn't be too hard for someone who is already vegetarian.I tried to get my

daughter to do it in Jan., but it was too foreign to her. I'm already a vegan.

Hi Patricia :) Sorry it didn't take for your daughter, but good try on your

part. But even if she had tried for just a little while it would still have

saved some animals, you know? And that's all to the good. Me, I tend to (still,

against all evidence) think/hope that young(er) people (anyone one or more

generations younger than I am) are more adventurous and will have the verve to

try something foreign to them, if only to prove that they could do it if they

wanted to :)

Thanks for writing in. I'm already vegan too, but I'm using this Kickstart

Program as an excuse to get even more healthy and to encourage others to try

veganism for their own sake if not for their fellow creatures.

Good for you!!! Hope there are others - and how good that you see how healthy it

makes you! Not only that, but it's kinda fun to start something new as winter

ends and we look towards spring, so there's the benefit of the challenge too -

good for the mind.

Btw, love your Marcus Aurelius quotation in your signature. I might steal it!!!!

I think the movement to at least becoming vegetarian is just getting started, I

think as some of the older ideas die out that new ones will be

more welcoming.   Especially in the light of the fact that the animal-less

diet is really healthier and people discover that this eating style is more

then just a plate of lettuce and cucumber.   Not that there is anything wrong

with a plate of lettuce and cucumber :)

As more people become sophisticated and evolve into less violent beings we will

see more people realize that good food/clothing should not come in the form

of cruelty.

discovering his or her own true nature and developing it fully, in harmony with

I do so hope you're right, and in my more cheerful moments I am sure that you

must be. Certainly there are more vegetarians now - percentage-wise - in the

western world than there ever have been (but don't ask me for statistics - it's

just what I read somewhere). Asia has understood for years the advantages of a

vegetarian diet, even though not everyone is vegetarian. As for changing into

less violent beings, that is a strong hope with me. All this damned war going

on!!!!! Don't they know war kills????

Any idea whose diet they're on? Just curious. Oh, honestly, never get between a

woman and her diet (not that you would) especially when she's doing it with a

friend. Hey!!! That's a good reason to be doing any change in eating regime with

a friend - right?????

Never mind. Maybe another time she'll see the benefit of a vegan diet and the

benefits of the _good_ carbs.

Thanks for writing back.
