Guest guest
Well, I took a vegetarian class, and I've searched the internet...lots of info, but I can't seem to organize a plan to have 3 meals and snack each day...I don't know how to make sure I am getting enough of this vitamin and that vitamin and protein. What I need is a one month menu that includes each meal and snacks, that's has the correct nutrients, and is a 1500 to 1800 calorie diet, because I am overweight. Any suggestions? Guest guest
Yeah, I think being a new vegetarian would be the perfect time to join the Kickstart programme Nothing like having a meal plan to help things along, and it also helps to know that oooooodles and ooooodles of other people are starting it with you, right? Best luck, Pat , " peej2e2 " <johnsontew wrote: > > I joined and definitely recommend it. Guest guest
Can someone tell me if the 21 Kickstart program is only for vegans? Barbra
Guest guest
Hi The 21 Day Kickstart program wihich starts again in September is to kickstart you into a plant based diet also known as Vegan. All the recipes are Vegan. All the celebrities involved are Vegan. Marilu Henner has a book http://www.amazon.com/Day-Total-Health-Makeover-Everything/dp/006103133X/ref=sr_\ 1_1?ie=UTF8 & s=books & qid=1270658405 & sr=1-1 that might help you make progress. It documents her switch to a plant based diet. At the very least you will end up with an organized sock drawer. Hope that helps.  Sunny ________________________________ " countrymama24 " <countrymama24 Wed, April 7, 2010 6:07:48 AM Re: Not Making Much Progress  Can someone tell me if the 21 Kickstart program is only for vegans? Guest guest
It is a vegan kickstart. I think it's intended for people who need help transitioning to a vegan diet. There is no reason you can't do it as a vegetarian. I did the last one and loved it. I've been trying to transition to a vegan diet but it's hard in a house with an omni DH and 3 vegetarian kids who unfortunately love all things yogurt and cheese. It doesn't cost anything and you get some great recipes (with all the nutritional info which I like) and meal ideas. I'd say it's worth a try. At the very least you will try some new dishes and get some interesting tips and ideas. The next one starts in Sept. Paula
