ROLL CALL AND A QUESTION - *PLEASE IN HERE* - Karen

Homemade bread is wonderful - I made a great batch of ryebread a few days ago

and the place smelled like, well, a bakery. Fantastic. Of course, not everyone

has the knack for making bread or the time to make it. I'm lucky - my bread

turns out good and I have loads of time! It's also great exercise, all that

kneading. Sometimes, mind you, my energy flags a bit LOL

 

I used to make sourdough and then my starter died on me because I was away too

long I must get some more started.

I know what you mean about kneading being good exercise. I have to be careful

giving bread to friends.Especially rye is a favorite among them.Not much choice

at the stores here when it comes to rye. They are some good recipes on the net

these days that are quick and don't involve kneading. People around here got

into the bread machines but they don't even remind me of homemade by hand.
