Are you saying you want oil in your salad dressing because otherwise you'd be unlikely to eat much salad? Okay. Got the picture It's true, isn't it, that so many things taste better to us with oils/fats in them. French fries taste 'better' than boiled potatoes, pastry better than bread, and oily dressings better than a squeeze of lemon juice, a sprinkle of balsamic or a dash of rice vinegar (for three examples of what we sometimes use). It's a matter of how our taste buds have been trained. Mine can be positively unruly at times!!! But you can re-train those taste buds. They say it takes about three weeks, but I find that five to seven days is all it takes to 'get over' the supposed need for certain tastes. Ymmv. Total sympathy - but there are some great alternatives to regular salad dressing that are easily made at home. Truly Best of luck.
