If there are newbies here and you haven't introduced yourself or filled in a

Questionnaire, why not tell us about yourself?

 

Some people are shy because they 'want to get the feel of the group' before

posting, we understand that, but please don't take too long. The longer you

wait, the harder it is to post. Trust me (the great procrastinator) on that :)

 

So let's hear from you, okay? What you do, where you are, and/or what you like

to eat and/or are looking for from this group. (Just remember, if you're not

vegetarian, to leave out any references to the eating or preparation of the

flesh of any once-living creature.)

 

Me? Well, this gets a bit old for those of you who have been here for a while,

but here goes (to start things rolling):

 

I'm Pat (the founder of this group in May 2004 and now co-owner with Piers), and

I live with my dh and our two furkids in southwestern Ontario. My dh and I have

both been vegetarian since Noah was a lad and have followed a plant-based diet

since the turn of this last century. Lately we have been looking more to a

'highly raw' way of eating - such fun!

 

Okay, now over to you :) And if any oldies would like to join in, that'd be

great.

Hi All... I filled out the questionnaire so you know more

than you want to about me ;-).

 

 

 

I'm wondering if anyone on the list has done much by way of

Raw? I'm trying to work up to a Raw day and then later a

few more. Or maybe something like one Raw day a week.

 

 

 

Anyway, I'm looking for Raw ideas - beyond just salads,

though I love salads too. And stuff that is not too

carbohydrate heavy.

 

 

 

Also interested in just usual non-raw protein items. What

are the best protein items - say amongst the grains, or

other than tofu?
