As far as our children, we have a very interesting situation. We are remarried and have children from previous marriages. The kids live with the other parents full-time we have all the weekends and the holidays, etc. When they are with us they are vegetarian. However when gone, they are not. In fact my ex-husband and I have gone round and round a few times on the choices we feed the kids and what I tell them. For example, I told my daughter that an egg is a dead baby chicken. He came unglued. I had to listen through a lecture on the differences between and fertilized eggs, etc. I just patiently let him have his moment and we haven't talked about it again. However, my daughter and I did. Needless to say it is tough trying to explain to them what being a vegetarian is about. Especially when they get conflicting stories.
