Guest guest
Hi all, My name is Caroline and my husband Brett and I have been vegan for about 13 years. Our daughter Eliza is 4 and has been vegan all her life. We live on a 28 acre organic farm about 20 minutes south of Gettysburg PA. Summer, have you tried the dehydrated vegetable snack - I think it is called " Eat your veggies " . Anyone else know what I am talking about or tried it? It is only vegetables - tomatoes, peas, carrots -and they are very crunchy and taste pretty good. They come in a clear plastic tub at most health food stores I have seen. And, I agree with Lisa, about the fruit juice. I once read a study that children who consumed more than 12oz of juice per day were more likely (I forget the percentage) to become obese than children who drank less (or no) juice. That is always in the back of my mind now when my daughter asks for juice. Great to see all the thoughtful vegan and vegetarian notes flying about! Guest guest
Caroline, We live right over the MD line near Union Mills. We might be neighbors. I seem to remember passing your farm. My daughter is also 4 and vegan since birth.
