They really do need to learn more about it. I really thought that they should have had more information on it and should have pushed it a bit more. They also had what I have learned to be misinformation. They also said to give a baby quite a bit of juice, which is just empy calories, it is soooo much better for them to eat the fruit rather than the juice. I was impressed though, with the article on Dr. Spock and his *controversial* last edition. I loved it when that came out. They did a piece on it in the news and so many parents were up in arms saying that it is just impossible to feed their children vegetarian because it is just so easy to go through the drive-thru at McDonald's. Now that's real healthy. For anyone who needs info on how to feed a baby the healthy way, you should go the La Leche League website, they have up to date information on breastfeeding and starting solids.
