Guest guest
My daughter and I are fighting a nasty thrush (yeast) infection. I have read that it is important to avoid wheat, sugar, corn and other fermented products .. As a vegan, my diet is already pretty restrictive. Does anyone on this list have any experience with this? I would love some suggestions, because I am getting tired of eating cruciferous vegetables all day! Also, has anyone read Vegetarian Baby & Toddler Magazine? I am thinking of subscribing, but I haven't seen any issues and I was wondering if it is informative. Thanks in advance! Tracey

Guest guest
I don't to the magazine, but check out the Vegetarian Baby & ler website (http://www.vegetarianbaby.com) if you haven't already. I bought a great T-shirt from them for hubby (it says Vegan and has a carrot), and they sent a bumper sticker that says " I love my veggie kid! " Regarding the thrush, I haven't personally dealt with this. Another list I'm on talked about this issue recently, though. Quite a few of those moms used something called Gentian (or was it Genetian?) Violet. Here's what they said: " You can get it at any pharmacy, Swab it in the baby's mouth (with a Q-tip) and on the nipples once a day, for three days. I know there are other variations of dosage, but this in the one I've seen most often. " Hope this helps!
