Greetings,

Tea tree is indeed a very good antiseptic and can be used on the skin

full-strength but is VERY strong and I would be hesitant to give it to

baby (and/or to use it on nipples since baby will ingest it).

Here's a URL that gives detailed instructions on using gentian violet:

http://www.bflrc.com/newman/breastfeeding/gentviol.htm It seems to

take a long time to load (I think their server must be slow since I

have cable internet access and IT isn't slow!) so be patient.

Good luck! BTW, I was very lucky and didn't get thrush during my

breastfeeding of my two children til about 2 years of age. Just

wanted you breastfeeding-wannabe's not to get scared away from it!

Warmly,

Emily

hahahaha! That happens when I answer messages while half asleep. I thought of a

different kind of yeast infection. -lol- I never had had one with my two

children. Sorry, for this

kind of yeast infection I would be hestitant to tea tree oil also, even though

it's my personal 'cure all'.
