Guest guest
I don't vaccinate my children either and I firmly believe that the risks greatly outweigh the benefits. As far as mortality rates, I don't need to see any charts - just talking to parents whose children have been injured or died from getting the vaccine is enough for me. So what if my children get chicken pox, measles or mumps? It's not the end of the world and they'll develop lifelong immunity to them. Many diseases were on the decline *prior* to the introduction of vaccines due to better sanitary conditions, higher quality (and more readily available) foods, and new medicines. My choice to not vaccinate only affects my children and family. We oppose vaccines for many reasons but just to name a few...I refuse to inject mercury, aluminum, formaldehyde and cells cultured in/on animals and aborted children. No way!! I'm not sure why many parents of vaccinated kids feel that they have something to fear from the unvaccinated ones. If you really believe that vaccines work then your kids can't get the cooties from mine, right? See http://www.naturalmom.com/vacfacts.htm for more info. There's a super list against vaccines at eGroups that some of you might also like to join Vaccinations - this group has *tons* of info about the vaccination issue. ~Odrade~ wrote: lynnebrow I am sorry to hear that you do not vaccinate your kids. As I study disease control and the effects on children, Ihave come to realize that vaccinating my son protects him and other children. Maybe you should review the AAP web page and see pictures and consequences of not vaccinating URL: http///www.aap.org/. This will also connect you to the center for disease control, who have lots of information on this including mortality rates. The reason so many diseases are under control is because of immuzations. I am sorry if you feel I am intruding on a personal issue, however your choice does not only effect your child, it effects all children.
