Guest guest
I am not a parent yet (still trying), but I am a vegan. I am writing with a couple of baby-related questions. My best friend and her husband are also vegan and they are raising a vegan child. Their daughter Harper is one year old. We have been trying for months to find non-leather, comfortable, moccasin-like shoes for her. We can't find vegan shoes anywhere. Any suggestions? My second question concerns infant formula. Their daughter is adopted and they are planning to adopt another infant next year. They need a formula that is vegan and isn't soy-based. I know there is a company in Canada that makes a potato-based infant formula, but I don't know the name of the company and I can't find it on the internet. Any suggestions? Thank you, Krista Brooks
Guest guest
I have bought all of my son's shoes (he is 2.5 yrs old now) from K-mart - you have to look but you can find non-leather shoes. When he is older I will buy him Birkenstock shoes which I love myself and they have the non-leather ones which I buy. Cannot help you with the non-soy formula as that is what we used and now use soy milk for him. Good luck! -- Caro >Krista Brooks <krb > > " ' ' " > Questions >Thu, 31 Aug 2000 16:43:30 -0600 > >I am not a parent yet (still trying), but I am a vegan. Guest guest
I often wish I knew of more non-leather footwear options for kids! In the meantime, we find vegan shoes at Payless Shoe Stores, Gymboree, Target, and Ames and through catalogs from LLBean, Lands' End, and Biobottoms. Good luck! ---------- > Krista Brooks <krb > ' ' > Questions > Thursday, August 31, 2000 6:43 PM > > > I am not a parent yet (still trying), but I am a vegan.
