Guest guest
Leah, I too love to cook. My best recipe successes have come from Natural Health magazine. They have a newer section on " 30 minute or less " recipes that are fast, tasty, and simple. I check out the magazines from the library, copy them, and put them on a recipe binder. The easily allows me to purge any " HATED IT! " recipes. I have also enjoyed the cookbooks from Deborah Madison, especially " Field of Greens " . The recipes, however, are more detailed, so the will take more time..but are worth the effort. Leah Pesola wrote: > > shearn wrote: > > > > > I am a vegan, while my partner is a carnivore. Guest guest
Leah, Try " The New Farm Cookbook. " Very simple. Lots of " comfort foods " recipes, too. Guest guest
Leah Pesola <leah " I was hoping someone could recommend a quick and easy vegan cookbook for beginners... " Leah P, I recommend " The Farm Vegearian Cookbook " because the recipes are simple and comforting, with lots of veggie versions of childhood (and normally meaty) favorites. I also suggest you look into " Conveniently Vegan " by Debra Wasserman of the Vegetarian Resource Group at http://www.vrg.org/catalog/convvegan.htm. Also, you might want to check out " Simply Vegan " by the same author at http://www.vrg.org/catalog/simplyvegan.htm. Good luck! (By the way, I am also a vegan with a non-veg partner and we're also planning on raising our children vegan!) --Tonya Alameda, California, USA
Guest guest
> I was hoping someone could recommend a quick and easy vegan > cookbook for beginners I once borrowed a great cookbook from my library you might want to try, Leah. It's Simply Vegan, by Debra Wasserman. It had vegan recipes that contained under ten ingredients (usually only 5 or 6). We still use variations of many of the meals from that book. You might check your local library for it. You can buy it, if you like it at Amazon.com (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0931411203/qid=969927994/sr=1-1/102- 1104012-5410545). Enjoy!
