Guest guest
I missed the original post on this, but I saw the post from someone suggesting sources of non-leather children's shoes. One good place to check out for nonleather shoes and eco-friendly/vegetarian/vegan clothing, food, etc. in general is: http://www.pangeaveg.com I admit I'm not sure if they have children's shoes, but I know they have vegan shoes in general. They also say their shoes are " not made in sweatshops. " If they don't have something you want, send them e-mail with your suggestions. Shari (the owner) isn't always able to do anything (alas, it seems there is no longer someone producing vegan marshmellows, for example) but she does warmly welcome feedback. If she knows customers want something, she'll keep an eye out for a good source. Their e-mail is at: PangeaVeg I don't know how internationally oriented a list is (I just joined the other day), but for the record Pangea is in the U.S. Their shoes are imported from England. People in England would presumably want to look for a more direct source and avoid the shipping charges, or maybe arrangements could be made with Pangea and their supplier to ship shoes more directly to you. Doesn't hurt to ask. Andrea red_trek (not a parent ... just a general lurker with curiousity for now)
