Crisco has an all vegetable shortening that works great in the frosting. Ummm, I am now getting hungry for cookies. I made a pumpkin pie yesterday, DH was feining for one. Guest guest
Use Egg Substitutes where the recipes calls for eggs, most Health Food Stores carry an Egg Substitutes. Egg Substitutes is made from potato starch and works great in many recipes. I have made many different cookies vegen by using substitutes and they have came out great. My Grandmother, who is not a vegetarian, loved my Peanut Butter Cookies and Chocolate Chip Cookies and was amazed how great they were without animal products and she the barker in our family . One wandering, don't use Egg Substitutes in recipes were eggs can not be the main ingredients because the Egg Substitutes doesn't work exactly the same a eggs, I try to make a Angel Food cake and it came out awful. Guest guest
Why don't you go to the fatfree.com website. They have tons of recipes for everything. In the cookies section, almost 20 of the recipes are vegan- and they are clearly highlighted. This is the link. http://www.fatfree.com/recipes/cookies Irene

Unfortunately, there are no sugar (or " cutter " ) cookie recipes there. =) ===== Odrade ~ Mama to Aydn 5/99 and 'Bean' edd 3/01 " Whatever it may bring, I will live by my own policies, I will sleep with a clear conscience, I will sleep in peace " ~ Sinead O'Connor Messenger - Talk while you surf!
