We've had good success with soynut butter ... but it is SO expensive! Anyway, I'm here to exchange information with other parents about getting our kids to eat healthy stuff, and dealing with the inevitable peer pressure (Mom, how come I've never been to McDonald's?? Answer, there's nothing there we can eat, sweetie ...). I'll be looking >> Hi , I have a 12 yrs old who has never been to mcdonalds or the others. I tell my girls the truth that is junk and I love you too much to feed you junk .Lets good home and have salad or beans. They say Ha! Oldest can tell that she does not feel that good when she goes out with gram and has a veggie burger but has white bread with frieds. One nights she came down and scooped out a big bowl of steamed veggie she said, " oh I do not how someone would not love these. " DH told someone at his work that his girls have not been to these places, they use starred and him in disbelief. He said they were a little shocked and said , " You mean they have never had a happy meal?Thats not right, how sad. " LOL He loved to tell me that story, we laughed and laughed. How sad the girls have never had 10 day long colds or the flu every year or over weight or ear infections or just sick all the time. You might not be a big mouth like me but you might say to son " They do not have anything that we WANT to eat. " This turns it all the way around and puts it on them not you. I do not buy peanut butter, we get almond or cashew. Felice
