Re: pervasiveness of animal products.

Susan P~

I understand completely where you are coming from. I

have been a veggie for close to 7 years now (it

started as a $5.00 bet in college). Yet, I find it

hard not to get another pair of Birkenstocks when my

old ones wear out. Maybe it is becuase I didn't become

a veggie because I read a report on slaughterhouses or

I read how pigs are transported for slaughter etc. I

did it becuase I was starting to feel ill... all the

time (and we can't forget that $5.00. That's a lot in

college. LOL!!). My stomach was a wreck and once I cut

out the meat I felt better. Yes, for the record I do

feel like some what of a hyprocrite becuase I wear

leather on my feet.

I guess what I am trying to say though, is that I

understand.

ALICIA--

BIRKENSTOCK MAKES NON-LEATHER SHOES AS WELL! WE WEAR THEIR NON-LEATHER

SANDALS ALL THE TIME! CHECK OUT THIER WEBSITE OR REQUEST A CATALOG! THEY

ARE EVEN A LITTLE CHEAPER THAN THE LEATHER ONES!

Good Luck!

Jennifer
