Guest guest
Dear Sir and Madam, First of all, thank you so much for VRGPARENTS program. It is really, really helpful for me and my son. I have a vegetarian friend who has a 9 years old son. This boy complains to his mom that he got teasing at the school about bringing vegetarian lunch. I forgot which issue we talk about TEASING. Do you mind re-send all of that information to me. Then I can forward to her. Thanks again for all of your effort to help us. Your truly, Sherrie Wang
Guest guest
Teasing happens at all ages, and in all social constituencies. When I arrived at my current job in financial services, I figured that I was the only vegetarian in the corporation of 35,000+ employees. I quickly located 5-6 longtime vegetarian friends who also work in the company, then discovered that 2 other department staffers are vegetarians, long despairing of being " the only vegetarians around " . My insight is: Get with a local vegetarian group and network as if networking is going out of style, then network some more. If young people have NO other vegetarian friends their age, local razzing will feel painful, but if they know other vegetarians their own age or near it, they'll be cool. Maynard S.
