Guest guest
I've read it. Good book, but it was hard for me to get through some of the more 'meaty' parts. I heard an interview with the author on NPR or our local public radio and they mentioned it might turn some people vegetarian. I thought 'I've got to read this one.' :-) It was an interesting story and has many cultural issues as well as issues with the meat industry. It made me want to learn more about Japan. I recommend it. Linda Savoy, IL vegan son born 2/00 vegan husband, Rob
Guest guest
Haven't read that one--or heard of it--but I also read in the paper about a book called Fast Food Nation. Apparently it covers a lot of the evils of the meat industry...I have it reserved at the library... Lisa >I read about this book in a Letters to the Editor column of a magazine.
