Guest guest
Hi! We are a happy vegan homeschooling family. We all love to learn, so we have a lot of fun. We cover the basics very solidly and then the ends of known universe is our limit, at least visually. [incidentally, we are also a very, very happy no-T.V. family, too.] I believe that there are a LOT of right ways to do things. This works very well for us and our circumstances. When we left traditional school, I regretted that my kids would lose the opportunities to educate others about diet choices. Never fear, there are all kinds of people contacts where they get to explain that don't eat meat because it's bad for the animals, and bad for their health, and that they prefer Rice Dreams or Silk on their cereal. Their non- judgemental conviction and their solid education on the subject has opened many minds. (Our kids attend all the vegan meeting and lectures we do; my daughter's topic for the Tropicana Speech contest was " What does a Body good? " You guessed it, about milk) Summer camp question. Is there a vegan residental summer camp somewhere out there, or anything close? We have been happy that the Girl Scout camp in our community invariably has a few vegan counselors, who take care of the vegan kids, but I'd love to venture out. Any suggestions? Thanks.
