Basically what you have is a non-profit store owned by members. Some co-ops are small buying clubs in which only members participate and others are like grocery stores. Some are veggie, some aren't, but they usually have some veggie options. Guest guest Posted November 4, 2006 Report Share Posted November 4, 2006 My totally unasked for opinion:......Any place where I can purchase organic produce is a good place and gets my support both in trade and membership fees. Whether they are profit or not for profit, or even outright cooking the books is of absolutely no concern to me.
