Guest guest
Re: Morningstar Farms and EFAs (hey, I get the digest version) Morningstar Farms does use GMO soy. And I'm guessing they're the company that was just in trouble for using a genetically modified variety of corn NOT approved for human consumption in their corndogs. The company was never identified (in the reports I read) but who else makes veggie corn dogs? EFAs in salmon and other sources. I don't know, but I'd take with a grain of salt (or sodium-free substitute) the words of anyone who said that something essential to the functioning of the human body can only be found in ONE source that's not easily available to the bulk of the human population. (Er, that's a little unclear, I suppose. What I mean is, humans are supposed to have evolved from African apes, right? How much cold-water salmon is there in Africa? I just don't see it.) Definitely more research necessary, but I'm not going to start eating salmon just because one researcher thinks I should.
