Greetings,

Here's the reply I got from Kelloggs about genetically modified

ingredients:

Emily,

Thank you for contacting us regarding the ingredients used in our

products.

Throughout our 60-year history, Worthington Foods has provided

consumers with

the best tasting, highest quality vegetarian and other healthful

foods.

The ingredients we use have been approved by the appropriate

regulatory

authorities and all of our products comply with food labeling

requirements in

the markets where they are sold. Before being acquired by Kellogg

Company,

Worthington had decided to examine the possibility of using

non-biotech

ingredient sources, recognizing that consumers of these foods might

prefer this

option. The company is currently using non-biotech soy protein in

foods and

continues to pursue supplier options for other non-biotech

ingredients.

We appreciate your interest in Worthington Foods and look forward to

your

continued patronage.
