Guest guest
It wouldnt be so bad if it were just he and I, but it is the kids that I worry about. What do you do when your significant other doesnt see the reason to have NO animal ingredients in your childrens foods?? On a regular basis he is fine with it, just when we are out, or at a birthday or something like that he says...auh, let them have it. I feel like letting HIM have it! LOL!! Sometimes my kids seem to just not like the stuff which is great, but sometimes they do. They are ages 4 and 2. Any ideas?? If you talk to the parents of the birthday child *before* the party, and discuss your family's needs (just as you would if someone was allergic to some ingredient, which is exactly how a good host should understand it), then there's less to contend with on the day, with everyone watching. I've found it helps to offer to bring something to share with everyone. For example, you could bring the (soy) ice cream. Liz
