Guest guest
Does anyone know if there is any brand of milk without Vitamin D available in local super markets? I'm looking for this option in NJ/NY area in USA. As i know Vitamin D mainly comes from animal source - and is not naturally found in milk but added on. why can't we get the milk without additives like this? Guest guest
I assume you are talking about soymilk or rice milk? Correct? If you are talking about cow's milk then it wouldn't make much sense to avoid vitamin D because it comes from animal sources...since the milk comes from an animal source. We jave a Nutritionist brand soymilk maker so we know exactly what is in the soymilk, but we've started using store bought soymilk for our 16mo. old son since he needs the added B12, etc. I think there was an article in The Vegetarian Journal a couple months ago regarding nondairy milks and which ones were best for children and which ones were vegan. I'll find my copy and get back to you. Linda
Guest guest
Vitamin D can be produced naturally with exposure to sunlight. And when the milk is not having it naturally, I don't want someone to add that in milk. I want to have a choice of milk with or without Vit. D. If I'm getting enough sun light exposure and want to consume Milk without Vitamin D, do i have access to such milk? Thanks for asking the question.
