I didn't entirely understand the answer, but what I gather is that somehow the processing of the animal bits to turn them into gelatin makes them not count as animal any more. It's parve not because it's vegetable, but because it's " not animal " . (Like mineral oil?) What I understood from the conversation: do not use Kosher symbols to try to determine the vegetarianness of a food. They're based on religious rules, which aren't necessarily logical to people who don't want to eat animals. > I see we are still interested in vegan > marshmellows...
