Guest guest
I found a good recipe for teething cookies that are nice and hard and seem to dissolve well when sucked on. I wanted some for my son that didn't have wheat in them as he is not ready for that yet. Does anyone else have a good teething cookie recipe? The one I made is: 1 1/2 cup flour (I used half arrowroot and half rice flour) 3tbsp oil 1/2c apple juice or sauce. (You could use molasses or something else as a sweetener I'm sure to give it a more interesting flavour. These cookies are very bland but my 2 year old niece loves them and so does my 7mos old son.) Mix it all together and knead it a little (may add more flour or liquid so it makes a very firm dough) Roll dough to 3/8 " thickness. Roll out. Cut into 1 " by 3 " bars (or any shape you like) and put on lightly oiled baking sheet. Bake at 300 degrees for 35-40 minutes, or until begin to brown. TURN OFF THE OVEN AND LEAVE THEM IN FOR 1 MORE HOUR. Makes about 1 dozen teething biscuits.
