Guest guest
Thanks everyone for your suggestions and validations. After stepping back and taking a good look at things, I realize just HOW well he DOES eat! I guess all my second-guessing comes from my Mother-in-law (his secondary caregiver) always " complaining " that she can't give him stuff from her plate (i.e. meat, fish, and the rest) and that it's so difficult to feed him. I realize that it's nonsense, really. Not to mention the fact that he's teething like crazy and is probably just picky because of sensitive gums. My friends' babies, the same age as my son, eat junk (and I mean junk, mainly because their parents feed them from their plates, which are piled high with red meat and fatty starches, and the only veggies they get are watery, over-cooked ones -- then they stuff them with sugary desserts). Sigh. I need to stop over-analyzing things! I will try all of your suggestions, though. My goal has been to give him something new at least twice per week. Thanks again! Pam, mommy to Ian, almost 14 months.
