Guest guest
Hi there. As per my agreement with my daycare provider, I'm trying to provide a list of what my daughter doesn't eat. This _seems_ like a no-brainer... she doesn't eat meat (and we're working on other animal products, but are not quite there yet.) However, in the spirit of cooperation, I'm trying to come up with a list of things that might contain meat that people may not think about.. Can anyone think of some common ones that I'm missing? Here's my list so far: soup with chicken or beef base; gravy with meat drippings or meat flavoring; casseroles with meat; spaghetti sauce flavored with meat; rice cooked in meat stock; gelatin; foods cooked in lard or animal fat; I can't even think of anything else people could mistake for " vegetarian " that actually isn't. Can you?? I know this seems like a " duh " question, but if these folks are willing to learn, I'm willing to teach them. Thanks, Carol (mom to Lucia, one month shy of the terrible twos -- yikes!)
