Guest guest
Hi, everyone! I am new to this group. I have a 2 1/2 year old, whose been a vegan her entire life, and a 6 year old, who has been mostly vegan for the past 3 years. I say mostly because I'm having a lot of trouble at grandma's house. I'm looking forward to giving and receiving tips and support! I wanted to respond to the breast cream question. When my daughter was first born, we were outside most of the time. Since our backyard is closed in by a high wooden fence, I just left my shirt unbuttoned and opened and the sun worked wonders on easing the nipple pain! It really made a huge difference. As far as the cabbage leaves, I'm not sure what all is true about cabbage leaves, but my sister kept them in her bra for a few weeks to dry her milk up! She had read that that works. I don't really remember is she felt that it helped her to dry up or not. But just in case, I don't know if I would try that while nursing! Guest guest
My sister recommended cabbage leaves to me after the birth of my son. Apparently, they help to reduce discomfort from the swelling that occurs after the milk " comes in. " Perhaps the leaves helped your sister through the pain of weaning, but I don't see how they could have dried her milk up. Just my opinion.
