Guest guest
Does anyone know of any brands of Jello, marshmallow or marshmallow products that are vegetarian? I saw the Jello recipe but we usually only eat Jello when someone is sick and would not always have time to make it from scratch. Thanks Evan

I don't know about the taste, I always hated Jello as a kid, so I have no need to buy the vegan stuff now. Guest guest
You can buy vegan jello online from Pangea. www.veganstore.com At this time there are no commercial vegan marshmallows for sale. Believe me, Pangea will be the first place to know when a vegan marshmallow is available. They used to sell them, but the manufacturer stopped making them. Guest guest
I just bought Hain Pure Foods " SuperFruits " but have not tried it yet. The package says vegetarian - It uses carrageenan to gel. Guest guest
Dole just came out with snack pack size premade gel with fruit. My son & I were very surprised that it was made with carrageen (not gelatin). My son didn't like it though, all he said was it was gross, no actual reason why. I thought it was too sweet and rubbery. It is typical convenience food. Guest guest
yes, hain makes one called superfruits, that is not bad. But I like even better the kind you can get from some health food stores or Indian/kosher/pakistani grocers that is also veg, but I forgot the name. These are both jello subs, not marshmallow. They gel even quicker than jello. I would try some ethnic shops if your health food store only carries the hain kind. Or maybe some of the online vegan sources, like pangea, or the mail order catalog. egoldstein wrote: > Does anyone know of any brands of Jello, marshmallow or marshmallow > products that are vegetarian? Guest guest
I tried the new 'Dole fruit in a gel' cups last night, it was very good. I tried the Orange with Mandarin fruit. Yum! The only difference I found was that it seems sweeter than normal. When I checked the Dole Jello at the store, before deciding on the orange/orange one, I noticed that the Strawberry or Cherry one (?) had cochineal listed. -Z
