Guest guest
My 8 yr old daughter never had flouride supplements, and I now regret it. I always had her brush faithfully & began flossing her when she was 6. She has had several cavities, even though she always drank plenty of our flouridated tap water. About a year ago I began having her use a Flouride rinse after brushing every night, and she has had no new cavities since! (Genetics probably play a significant role in tooth decay, as well... but I now believe in the power of flouride!) On another subject: My daughter was veg from birth, then was fed meat by her father after our divorce... when she was 3. Now she is veg 90% of the time. But the 10% of the time that she is with her dad, she eats meat to please him. I pray that soon she will be confident enough to make a decision herself to give up eating animals completely. Fortunately, several of her cousins are veg, and many among our friends. She goes to a Jewish school and their lunches & snacks are always veg to keep it simple with the Kosher kitchen. Hope that helps. M ps what is " ap " ? Find a job, post your resume. http://careers.

It should NEVER be ingested, through supplements or water. Maybe the rinse did help because it was being used ON the teeth and not IN the body. Alot of people will say that they should NEVER use flouride of any type anywhere. It can cause damage to a child's bones, I would rather have a child with rotted teeth than brittle bones anyday! Guest guest
We are in this situation as far as my kids eating meat at their dad's. We are working on moving them towards total vegetarianism but it is a difficult process since their dad does not support it at all. My dh and I are veggie and our baby is veg from birth and will remain that way. It will be hard to explain why his brother and sister eat meat if they do not stop by the time he is old enough to notice. (He is 6mos now). So far I have been fairly successful at having them not eat beef. I am working on the total veg thing now. Guest guest
That's the point, you got it right Sara. It's kind of hard though to not ingest it when it's used on the teeth!
