Guest guest
I forgot to mention the following book: TALKING BACK TO RITALIN: WHAT DOCTORS AREN’T TELLING YOU ABOUT STIMULANTS AND ADHD by Peter R. Breggin, M.D A neighbor had her son on ritalin for two years (he's seven) and then read this book. He is off meds and doing better than he was when he was medicated. While he was medicated they had an awful time when he would 'come down' before his next pill. It was very, very trying for the entire family. I'm sure this is not the case for every family with this issue, but I just thought this book might be interesting for anyone who might be dealing with someone in their lives with ADHD. I'm sure there are tons of books out there, but I just happened to see this one work for one particular person. Peace, Linda PS My husband was sure he had ADHD after learning to work with people in adult ed. So we had a little fun and asked a goup of our friends (23 people) an ADHD questionaire...all of them tested 'positive' for ADHD. I've also read in several different places the affect of diet on ADD and ADHD. I think Vegetarian Times even had an article not too long ago. If anyone is interested I'll find the publications...just email me privately.
