Hi all,

Does anyone have the previous Email (about 2 months ago) regarding Iams

(pet food manufacturer) doing some kind of animal testing?

Please forward it if you do. I'm looking for the details to make a

decision.

Thanks!

I don't know for sure which email, but I thought you might be interested

that Iams funded research here at the U of I (Illinois). They are trying

to develop a dog food that will make the dogs deficate less so people don't

have to walk them or let them out as much. The research has been going on

for several years and Iams just stopped funding it (I'm not sure why, but

they have another funder so it will continue and soon will be using cats as

well as dogs). I'm sure Iams funds lots of animal research (my sister was

in vet med years ago at the U of I and worked in several labs funded by

Iams). I'm working with a student group (although I'm not a student) to

get better treatment for the dogs, but I really am frustrated that this

type of research is even happening.

Hope this helps,

Linda
