Guest guest
A while ago someone posted some information on why not toeat honey. Since that time I have really been trying to find a substitute as I enjoy it in my tea. I've found it! Here in Switzerland they sell something called Birnel which has the same consistency of honey and is made from Pear juice concentrate. It is really good and to me tastes not unlike honey! Guest guest
It sounds good:) I've found that Agave syrup tastes a lot like honey. I substitute it in recipes that call for honey. You can get light or dark. It comes from the Agave Cactus. Guest guest
We also use Agave Nectar. Do you know if Birnel is available in the US? , Carmen Crenshaw-Hovey <crenhov4@b...> wrote: > A while ago someone posted some information on why not toeat honey. > Since that time I have really been trying to find a substitute as I > enjoy it in my tea. Guest guest
How about agave nectar?
Guest guest
Also try agave syrup. It is a succulent plant derivative. It comes in light and dark syrup and is close in taste and consistency to honey. Lisa
