Guest guest
I have heard that Morningstar's products do contain GMOs. I avoid them for this reason, but I know GMOs don't bother everyone. Guest guest
YIKES!! If GMOs don't bother you please check out this website, www.amberwaves.org I had the priveledge of hearing Alex Jack speak in New York City last week and even though I avoided genetically modified (GMO) foods before, I am now doing everything I can to help stop GMOs. Please read more on the website, especially about the monarch butterfly--it is really chilling. Hopefully we can still do something, but it will take consumer awareness! Thanks! Guest guest
While I personally have a problem with GMOs I do understand there are a lot of people who do not share this view. I live near the U of Illinois where a lot of research is done on GMOs and I find this topic to be a landmine. I've talked to retired professors in microbiology who think the worry about GMOs is nonsense. I've done my own research and I've talked to people who work in the labs and farmers. It is definitely not a cut and dry subject for most people. The problem is the people (who I happen to be one of) who are against GMOs are not getting much of a choice. Non-GMO crops are contaminated by GMO crops all the time. My father helps my uncle on his farm and when things get busy at the grain elevator they mix non-GMO and GMO together (in fact this is the first year they have even tried to keep them apart). We are all going to have to live with the consequences no matter what side of the issue we are on. I agree with Jeannie that we all need to be informed so we can make educated decisions about the food we eat or the what happens to the environment. John Robbins' new book 'The Food Revolution' also has quite a bit of info on GMOs. Respectfully, Linda --- jeannie de rouen <bojean7 wrote: > YIKES!!
