Guest guest
That seems pretty good to me too. If I could do the cloth diaper thing it > would be a great savings. maybe I should consider it. do you think it is > too late to invest into it at this point? My DD is 8 months and the 2 1/2 > year old son is just on the verge of training. Is the investment worth it > for me, in your opinion? I used cloth diapers since my dd was born (she is out of diapers now). I saved sooooo much money using cloth diapers and making my own wipes. With two children, you would save even more!! I think the key is getting good fitted diapers and good covers so that you are not always having leak problems which could get frustrating. There are several diapers that are " one-size " meaning they would fit both your children at the same time. This would probably be the cheapest way to go with fitted dipes. And there are some adorable diapers handmade by work at home moms. email me if you want some good websites and brands to check out! (oh, and for link to swap board where you could save even more money!!) Christy ------------------------------ NetZero Platinum Only $9.95 per month! Guest guest
Why high ptotein? Too much of any type of protein is tough on your kidneys. We have a boby builder friend who isn't veg, but eats the high protein sport shakes and ended up with a kidney infection (rare for young men apparently). His doctor was very negative about high protein diets even for very active people. I've also read a lot of negative things from Dr. Onish about the Zone Diet, but I don't know if he mentioned the Soy Zone Diet too. Just be careful. Guest guest
I said high protein, but what I meant was actually just a bit higher on protein than the average vegetarian diet. I am no fan of Atkins and similar diet plans, believe me. But based on the analysis of my body trouble done by my nutritionist, I should up my protein intake a bit and decrease (not quit) my intake high-starch things like potatoes, bread and pasta. I am allowed to eat them, but not to feast on them. Elisa
